Melissa's Personal

Picture
Singing, song writing, performing in plays, making people laugh, listening to Taylor Swift, and more recently playing guitar have always been some of my favorite things to do.  Originally I was going to perform a humorous monologue for my personal, but then I realized why not bring guitar, song writing, and taylor swift into my personal as well. The link below will direct you to a clip from the episode of SNL on May 21st, 2010 when Taylor Swift was the host.  Being as musically talented as she is, she sang her monologue instead of speaking it.  For my personal, I decided to play and sing this song.  I changed the words, however, and made it into my “Experimental” monologue.

The Lyrics are as follows:

I like the Odyssey and Grapes of Wrath, but I’m not gonna talk about that in my monologue.

I like swimming and things that smell like summer but I’m not gonna talk about that in my monologue.

La la la.  La la la.

I like writing songs about 10P projects that torture me, but I’m not gonna talk about that in my monologue.

I like writing their names into songs so Ms. Bartscherer never assigns them again, but I’m not gonna talk about that in my monologue.

La la, la la la la la this is my experimental monologue.

You might think I’d bring up Ms.  Bartscherer, the best teacher in the world, but I’m not gonna talk about that in my monologue.

“Hey Ms. Bartscherer!  I’m doing real well!  Today I’m doing my experimental.  But I’m not gonna brag about that in my monologue.”

La la la.  Ha ha ha. Ha ha ha.  Ha ha ha.  La la la.

If you’re wondering if I might have posted on the 10P website……….  I promise I’ll do it later tonight, but this is my monologue.

La la, la la la la la this is my experimental monologue.

You might be expecting me to say something bad about the way Ms. Bartscherer gave us a lot of work every single day…  But there’s nothing more to say, ‘cause everything’s okay.  My experimental’s over todayyyy, after this monologue.

La la, la la la la la this is my experimental monologue.  La la, la la la la la that was my experimental monologue.
